As this month draws to a close, and we make our way slowly towards the beautiful slushiness that is spring, I wanted to reflect on what everyone hoots about in February. Love.

“What a grand thing, to be loved!
What a grander thing still, to love!”
- Victor Hugo

Whether you are loved, are loving, or have felt or given love at some point in your life, find someone, something new to share it with. There is nothing wrong with being single. It’s about as wrong as being married for 50 years. It is a natural part of life; we just deal with it in different ways.

We endure the dynamic changing of life and people may be gone or far away, but please, still love.

Love your mom.
Love your papa.
Love your siblings or the people you grew up with.
Love being an only child.
Love your pets.
Love your grandparents.
Love what they have left behind.
Love the people who left and those who stuck it out.
Love the green lights and the opportunities.
Love the red and yellow lights and things in your life that make you slow down.
Love beautiful people.
Love yourself.
Love the sun and the rain.
Love the snow and the new flowers and green grass in spring.
Love your faith.
Love confidence and humility.
Love the challenges and the growth.
Because…

“What a grand thing, to be loved!
What a grander thing still, to love!”

Do you get it yet? Because I could keep going, ya know… :)

It is not about the love we get. It is about the love we give.

.

“Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self‑seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
